Germany’s Last Wartime Army

The Volkssturm was the Nazis last army of WW2 – a ragtag collection of old men and young boys armed with every sort of weapon, from WWI rifles to the deadly Panzerfaust launcher. They fought on both the Western and Eastern Fronts during the final stages of the war in 1945, particularly during the Battle of Berlin.
