History Documentaries
Contrary to popular belief, women have long played active roles in warfare—whether through journalism, propaganda, or combat itself. Figures like Boudica, Joan of Arc, and the Amazons illustrate how women have been mythologized and celebrated for their martial skills and leadership. Women contributed significantly to the war effort during both World Wars, serving in various roles, including as spies, medics, and factory workers, which was crucial on the home front. Post-WWII, many women yearned for the freedom and recognition they experienced during the war; later, they participated in other conflicts, such as the Falklands and modern Middle Eastern conflicts.
