Kildare Guerillas – The War of Independence in North Kildare

The story of Kildare’s role in the Irish War of Independence. This movie follows the Prosperous, Allenwood, Robertstown and Allen Companies as they take part in Ireland’s struggle for freedom by disrupting British communications and staging ambushes around the county. Ambushes at the Hill of Allen and Stacumny, just to name a few. The story is told through the eyes of Ned Tracey, captain of the Prosperous G Company.
Filmed in several locations in Kildare for Prosperous Heritage Society with the help of Allen Historical Society. Supported by the Kildare Decade of Commemorations Committee.
