The GAA remembers Daniel Carroll and the 13 others who went to a match in Croke Park on 21 November 1920 and never came home.
Daniel Carroll 31 – Bar manager – Templederry, County Tipperary
After IRA attacks on British spies near Daniel’s home on Bloody Sunday, he visited his workplace before deciding at the last minute to attend the game between Dublin and Tipperary. He was shot by crown forces as he left Croke Park and died two days later.
