Australia Hastens Anti-Ship NSM Block-1A Missiles Acquisition As China Threat Mounts In The Pacific

Australia has fast-tracked the acquisition of anti-ship missiles to boost its defenses in the Pacific amid tensions with China. The Royal Australian Navy’s Anzac-class frigates and Hobart-class destroyers will be equipped with NSM Block 1A by 2024. The NSM will replace will replace the RGM-84 Harpoon Block II anti-ship missile about five years ahead of schedule.
