Russia’s military advance held up by various forms of Ukrainian resistance. In their latest intelligence update, UK officials said that the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv, Mariupol and Chernihiv were still controlled by Ukrainians “depsite heavy Russian shelling.” “Some Russian forces have entered the city of Kherson but the military situation remains unclear,” they said. Commenting on the Russian military convoy advancing on Kyiv, the officials said Russian forces were slowed down by “staunch Ukrainian resistance, mechanical breakdown and congestion. ” “The column has made little discernible progress in over three days,” UK intelligence officials said.
