The Luftwaffe Mistel was a German composite aircraft type employed during WWII, alongside jet-powered aircraft such as the Arado Ar 234 Bomber and Messerschmitt Me 262 fighter. It was made up of a bigger unmanned aircraft loaded with heavy explosives and a smaller piloted control aircraft. The most typical combination included a modified Junkers Ju 88 Bomber as the bomber drone and a Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter. The bomber drone could pierce seven meters of concrete and five meters of reinforced steel.
