78 years ago, on August 6, 1945. An atomic bomb nicknamed “Little Boy” was dropped on Japan’s Hiroshima by the U.S. B-29 warplane Enola Gay. The population of Hiroshima in 1945 was around 350,000. The bomb caused extensive destruction. leading to the death of approximately 140,000 people.
