Enemy shells thunder across the battlefield, throwing up clouds of debris as Major Roger Jenner dives behind cover. The muddy ground shakes violently, absorbing some of the blast and sparing Jenner from doom. Explosions ripple through the landscape; casualties mount as the paratroopers around him fight to stay alive. The relentless shelling has fragmented their ranks, leaving them exposed and vulnerable on the open terrain.
